About Allee
Allee is a personal trainer located in Northeast Indiana and the owner of Black Barn Barbell. She specializes in private personal training, remote coaching, rehab based fitness programs, and building healthy habits.
Black Barn Barbell features an onsite gym where Allee works closely with clients both in person and virtually to meet their fitness goals. Her approach emphasizes movement and healthy habits to move better, get stronger, and keep doing the things they love.
Our Story
Allee's journey into fitness began with sports, an ACL injury, and a fascination with the human body.
After earning her degree in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine from Anderson University, competing as a college athlete, and gaining experience in outpatient rehabilitation, high school athletics, and Personal Training, she developed a perspective on fitness that goes far beyond the traditional workout.
Today, Allee brings her rehabilitation and sports medicine background to personal training in Northeast Indiana, creating a rehab-first approach that is personalized to each individual. Service clients in Fort Wayne, Ossian, and surrounding Northeast Indiana communities, she looks beyond a standard personal training program to understand each client's body goals, lifestyle, and the things they want to be able to do.
For Allee, personal training is about more than fitness or appearance. It is about improving quality of life, building strength and confidence, and helping people stay active so they can show up fully for the people, passions, and purpose that matter most. Her approach combines the individualized attention of personal training with the movement and rehabilitation principles of her sports medicine background.
As a mom of four young children, Allee's belief in staying active is deeply personal. Fitness isn't about making time for herself. It's about having the strength and energy to keep up with her kids, being present for their lives, and showing them from an early age what it means to take care of their bodies. Allee believes children learn about health, movement, and self-care by watching the adults around them. The habits they see modeled at home can help shape how they think about physical activity for years to come.
For Allee, that means demonstrating that fitness is not about perfection, appearance, or punishment. It is about strength, confidence, health, energy, and being capable of doing the things you love. She wants her children to see movement as a natural and positive part of life, not something they have to earn or dread.
That same philosophy extends to the clients she serves throughout Fort Wayne, Ossian, and Northeast Indiana.
Our Purpose
Allee's experience in athletic training, sports medicine, rehabilitation, and personal training gives her a unique perspective for clients who want more than a traditional gym experience. She considers where each person is starting, where they want to go, and what they want their body to help them accomplish.
Whether working with clients locally in Northeast Indiana, or connecting with individuals throughout the broader Midwest, Allee's goal remains the same: to help people become stronger, more capable, and more confident in their bodies so they can live an active life centered around what matters most. Fitness isn't the destination. It's a tool for helping you live your life well.
